Box Score MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Anton Hedlund (Hovas, Sweden/Katrinelundsgymnasiet) and
David Rodriguez (St. Ann's, Trinidad & Tobago/Fatima College) earned all three points for the Allegheny College men's tennis team in Sunday's 6-3 non-conference loss against John Carroll University at the Robertson Athletic Complex.
As a tandem, Hedlund and Rodriguez secured Allegheny's (5-5) lone doubles point against the Blue Streaks (4-6). At the top of the lineup, the Gator duo cruised to an 8-2 win over Logan Langovsky and Grant Sarnowski.
The singles matches were significantly more difficult against Langovsky and Sarnowski. Hedlund lost the first set but won the second, 6-4, and the third, 6-3, to defeat Langovsky in the No. 1 singles spot. Rodriguez also dropped his first set but rebounded to force a 10-point super tiebreak, which he won 10-5 over Sarnowski.
