ROCHESTER, N.Y. --
Four from the Allegheny College women's track and field team competed at the 2023-24 All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday at Nazareth University.

This year was Allegheny's first-ever trip to the AARTFC Indoor Championships. The conference includes members from throughout the Northeast. Nearly 60 women's track and field teams were at the meet this season and 38 earned a score in the team standings. Student-athletes who hit qualifying marks throughout the indoor season are eligible to compete.

Representing the Gators were Laila Davis (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton), Emma Miller (Elyria, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy), Celia Cocca (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora), and Nelly Stafford (Middletown, Md./Middletown).

On Friday, Davis and Miller both participated in the shot put. Davis had the second-best mark in the first flight but finished 13th overall out of 30 throwers at 11.92 meters. Miller's second attempt was her best, reaching 11.44 meters. She placed 18th.
