PAC Release
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- One year removed from the program's first-ever playoff appearance, Allegheny College was voted fifth in the 2024 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches' Poll.
The Gators, who went 8-8 last season with a 4-3 PAC record, finished with 41 points in the preseason poll, falling just two points shy of fourth-place Westminster College (43). Grove City College was picked No. 1 with eight first-place votes and 64 points, followed by Saint Vincent College (57), and Chatham University (45).
Five Gators were identified as Players to Watch this spring. The list is headlined by reigning All-PAC First Teamers
Aidan D'Amato (Tolland, Conn./Tolland) and
Cassady Bouthet (Vernon, Conn./Rockville). D'Amato is Allegheny's all-time leading scorer with 94 career points (60g-34), while Bouthet, a senior defenseman, became the first-ever Gator to earn consecutive all-conference first-team honors.
Local product
Nick Gralewski (Meadville, Pa./Meadville), long-stick middie
Konrad Homiak (Hampstead, N.C./Topsail), and second-year attacker
Gideon Sullivan (Getzville, N.Y./Cathedral (Ind.)) were also included on the Players to Watch list.
Under the direction of first-year head coach
Jeff Roberts, Allegheny begins the season at Ohio Northern University on Saturday, February 24, at 1:00 p.m.
