MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Seventh-year head baseball coach
Brandon Crum and the Allegheny College baseball team are preparing to play a 40-game schedule during the upcoming 2024 season.

Opening weekend has been modified due to cold temperatures in the forecast. Instead of a three-game series against John Carroll University in Beckley, West Virginia, the Gators will host JCU in a doubleheader on Sunday, February 25. The first pitch is set for noon against the Blue Streaks at Robert M. Garbark Field.
Allegheny's spring break trip features a three-game set at Maryville College (3/1-3/2) in Maryville, Tennessee, a doubleheader at Guilford College (3/6) in Greensboro, North Carolina, and a three-game series at Pfeiffer University (3/8-3/9) in Misenheimer, North Carolina.
The University of Rochester comes to town for a twinbill on Saturday, March 16. The Gators will complete the weekend home series with a single game against Oberlin College (3/17) the following afternoon.
PAC action also begins at home, as Allegheny welcomes Franciscan University to Meadville for a doubleheader on Saturday, March 23.Â
A season-long five-game homestand begins with a non-conference tilt against preseason No. 3 Baldwin Wallace University on Tuesday, April 2. Last spring, the Gators defeated the third-ranked Yellow Jackets in Berea, Ohio, by a 7-4 final score. It's the first of two games against Baldwin Wallace, as the regular season wraps up on Sunday, May 5, with a trip back to Berea.
Allegheny's five-game homestand also includes a key PAC series against Grove City College on Saturday, April 6, beginning at 1:00 p.m. In 2023, the Wolverines finished second in the conference standings despite splitting their two games against the Gators.
Between April 18 and April 27, Allegheny will play seven consecutive games on the road. That includes another PAC doubleheader that could have significant playoff implications at Saint Vincent College (4/27). The PAC slate concludes the following Saturday, as the Gators host the defending champs from Washington and Jefferson College on May 4.
