CLEVELAND -- The Allegheny College women's track and field team received strong performances from Zoe Romanowski (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) and Emma Miller (Elyria, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) at the Ed Finnigan Greater Cleveland Colleges Invite, hosted by Case Western Reserve University on Friday.

On the track, Romanowski ran both the 60- and 400-meter dashes. She won the 60-meter prelim with a time of 8.18 seconds, just off the pace of her personal record of 8.15 seconds. The senior sprinter was the runner-up in the finals at 8.33 seconds, just one-hundredth of a second shy of first in a photo finish. In the 400-meter dash, Romanowski was clocked at 1:02.88 and placed third.

Miller was the top Gator in both throwing competitions. She was fourth out of 19 in the shot put with a mark of 10.78 meters. In the weight throw, Miller was ninth and tied a season-best, reaching 13.20 meters.

Freshman Skye Kramer (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Moreland) also had a notable performance on the track and in the field. She was Allegheny's best sprinter in the 200-meter dash in ninth while recording a PR in the high jump with a mark of 1.37 meters.
