PAC Release
TRAFFORD, Pa. -- For the first time this season, Allegheny College senior
Emily Lauer (Knox, Pa./Keystone) was crowned the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Player of the Week.
Lauer earned the weekly accolade coming off a noteworthy performance last week in an 87-46 win over the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. The fourth-year guard led all Gators with a season-high 30 points, just two shy of her single-game career-high, in just 24 minutes of action. It was her fourth game of the year with more than 20 points, as she shot 14-of-20 overall for a 70.0 field-goal percentage.
Not only did Lauer score at a rapid pace, she collected a career-high 13 rebounds for her third collegiate double-double. Lauer also had four assists and two steals in the non-conference victory.
Lauer is the second Gator to earn PAC Player of the Week honors this season, joining first-year guard
Bella Antonacci (Indiana, Pa./Indiana Area).
Allegheny women's basketball returns to the court on Monday, December 30, at 6:00 p.m., when the Gators travel to Erie, Pennsylvania, for an exhibition game against Division I Mercyhurst University.
