Davis Selected to Participate in Women Coaches Academy

WeCOACH Release

TALLAHASSEE, Fa. -- Allegheny College's Assistant Women's Basketball Coach Christina Davis was one of 122 coaches invited to participate in the 2026 NCAA Women Coaches Academy (WCA), hosted by WeCOACH.

The WCA will take place May 17-20 in Denver Colorado. Since its inception, more than 2,500 coaches have graduated from the WeCOACH Academies. The program focuses on holistic leadership development, equipping women coaches with the skills, confidence, and community to thrive personally and professionally.

"It's an honor to have been selected to the NCAA Women Coaches Academy Class #56," said Davis. "I look forward to the opportunity to learn, connect, and develop over the course of the program. This experience will help me grow individually and as a coach, and will ultimately have a positive impact on both our team and our department. Thank you to Allegheny College and the PAC for your support and making my participation possible.

"The Academy provides a transformational experience where participants leave with renewed purpose, actionable strategies, and a lasting support network," said Vanessa Fuchs, CEO of WeCOACH. "Our data shows graduates continue to remain in coaching at rates well above the national average, and we are committed to broadening that impact. This year, thanks to our generous supporters, we have awarded more than $65,650 in scholarships to 61 participants."

Davis recently completed her third season with the Gators this past winter. In her three years with the program, the Gators have tallied a 47-34 overall record, and an impressive 39-17 mark in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play. During the 204-25 season, Davis helped lead the Gators to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championship.
