MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Four student-athletes from the Allegheny College volleyball team earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District accolades in honor of their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Sophomores
Duru Akbas (Ankara, Turkey/Layton Christian Academy (Utah)) and
Angelee Bawek (Goodyear, Ariz./Estrella Foothills), junior
Jacy Diaz (Barranquitas, Puerto Rico/Gallatin (Tenn.)), and senior
Meagan Robare (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) each earned CSC Academic All-District honors. Diaz, a 2023 CSC Academic All-American, and Robare were chosen for the second time in their Allegheny careers.
Eligible student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, and have played in at least 90% or started at least 66% of their team's competitions throughout the season.
CSC Academic All-America finalists will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on January 14, 2025.Â
