NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Junior Caleb Freeman (Killingworth, Conn./Haddam-Killingworth) garnered All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) honors after leading the Allegheny College men's cross country during Saturday's PAC Championship race at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.

For the third year in a row, Freeman was named to the All-PAC Second Team. The standout distance runner from the Nutmeg State placed 10th out of 112 competitors, and his time of 26:33.8 was his second-best in an 8K this fall. It also marks Freeman's best finish and quickest time in a PAC Cross Country Championship race.

The next four Gators were bunched together between 30th and 39th place. Senior Desmond Corrado (Crafton, Pa./Carlynton) navigated the course in 27:45.9 and crossed the finish line in 30th. Junior Patrick Sharp (Brighton, N.Y./Brighton) and seniors Zack Wyse (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) and Xavier Grove (Pittsburgh, Pa./CAPA) finished in 35th, 37th, and 39th place, respectively and were less than 10 seconds apart.

As a team, Allegheny was sixth out of 10 in the conference standings with 148 points. It was a battle at the top of the leaderboard, as the top five teams were separated by a mere 10 points. Franciscan University edged Geneva College by just one point, 67-to-68, to win the PAC title. Saint Vincent College was third with 70 points, while Bearcat Tim Patterson won individual gold with a time of 25:35.1.
