MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny volleyball team is set to host Saint Vincent for the 2024 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Saturday (Nov. 16) at 6 pm.
Admission is free to all. All Allegheny students will receive a raffle ticket, as well as anyone that brings their Allegheny Volleyball Rally Towel from the semifinal game, for a chance to win over $300 in gift cards and Apple AirPod Pros.
The Gators earned the top-seed for the tournament after a perfect 10-0 record in PAC play during the regular season. After a first round bye, Allegheny hosted fourth-seed Westminster in the semifinals. After defeating the Titans in four sets on the road in the regular season, the Gators collected the sweep at home to advance to the championship game. This marks the first time since 1994 that the Gators will be playing for a conference crown, and their first appearance in the PAC Championship game.
The Bearcats earned the second-seed for the tournament after finishing the regular season with an 8-2 mark in PAC play. In the semifinals, they defeated third-seed Chatham in four sets. Earlier this year, the Gators defeated the Bearcats in four sets.
