PAC Release

TRAFFORD, Pa. -- Allegheny College's first-year goalie, Cadan Bennett (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland), was recognized by the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) as the Men's Soccer Newcomer of the Week.

In PAC matches against Waynesburg University and Geneva College last week, Bennett went 0-1-1 with a 1.00 goals-against average, eight saves, and an .800 save percentage. He allowed just one goal in a 1-1 draw against the Yellow Jackets, and added four saves in a narrow 1-0 loss at home against the Golden Tornadoes.

In a dozen games this season, all starts, Bennett has made 51 saves for a .720 save percentage. His 1.77 goals-against average ranks fourth among qualified PAC goalkeepers.

Bennett and the Gators will travel to Washington and Jefferson College for their next contest on Wednesday, October 9. The opening kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
