PAC Release
TRAFFORD, Pa. -- The Allegheny College men's swimming and diving team was selected fifth in a preseason poll of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) head coaches ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
The Gators, who finished sixth at the 2023-24 PAC Championships, were predicted to climb one spot in the standings this winter. With 45 points, Allegheny was voted ahead of Chatham University (42) and Bethany College (36).Â
Seven-time defending PAC champion Grove City College was first in the poll with 66 total points and six first-place votes.
Additionally, the Blue and Gold placed both returning All-PAC selections on the conference's Swimmers to Watch List for the 2024-25 season. Senior
Jack Malnar (Brecksville, Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) and junior
Emmet Fluharty (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) were both recognized after earning All-PAC Second Team honors last winter.
Allegheny dives into the new season with a tri-meet against Franciscan University and Hiram College at the Mellon Pool on Saturday, October 5, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
