WOOSTER, Ohio – The Allegheny women's track and field team claimed victory in three events Saturday (Jan. 20) at Wooster's Fighting Scots Invitational.
 
Corinne Inkley (Randolph, N.Y./Randolph Central) was victorious in the pole vault, winning the event with a height of 3.20 meters. Inkley also took sixth in the long jump with a distance of 4.93 meters.
 
Laila Davis (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton) won the shot put with a heave of 11.69 meters. Davis also took fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 13.19 meters.
 
Nelly Stafford (Middletown, Md./Middletown) won the one mile run, clocking in at 5:32.30. She also finished sixth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:33.86.
 
In addition to the victories, the Gators recorded several other top-eight finishes.
 
Rosa Monarch (Mason City, Iowa/Mason City) ran to a second place finish in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.94 seconds. Monarch was also sixth in the 200 meter dash at 29.90.
 
Logan Wagner (Woodville, Ohio/Oak Harbor) was second in the 400 meter run with a time of 1:02.66 while Renee Tetlow (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) also had a runner-up performance for the Gators in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:29.81.
 
AB Snyder (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) was the runner-up in the long jump with a distance of 4.93 meters. Snyder also had a second place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 9.97 meters.
 
Celia Cocca (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora) was fourth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:32.02.
 
The Gators were well represented in the 3,000 meter run, taking third through seventh. Marrin Crist (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) took third with a time of 11:12.92 followed by Shyann Rulander (Warren, Pa./Warren) (11:16.19), Madeline Allen (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne) (11:54.00), Erin O'Neill (Bardstown, Ky./Nelson County) (12:00.03) and Genevieve Feltmeyer (Waterford, Pa./Fort Leboeuf) (12:11.87).
 
Clarissa Miller (Hopkinsville, Ky./University Heights Academy) took fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 9.36 meters and was seventh in the long jump with a distance of 4.42 meters.
 
Chloe Bonson (Penn Township, Pa./Penn-Trafford) placed seventh in the mile with a time of 5:58.17.
 
The 4x400 meter relay team of Cocoa, Tetlow, Wagner and Skye Kramer (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Moreland) finished third with a time of 4:20.85.
 
Kramer also finished fifth in the high jump, clearing 1.35 meters.
 
Angelee Bawek (Goodyear, Ariz./Estrella Foothills) was fourth in the shot put at 11.09 meters. Emma Miller (Elyria, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) placed fifth in the shot put at 10.94 meters and was eighth in the weight throw at 12.22 meters. Caitlyn Faust (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) was seventh in the weight throw at 12.55 meters) and eighth in the shot put with a toss of 10.12 meters.
