NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Allegheny College women's track and field team added several results to the top of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) outdoor performance list with a strong showing at the Westminster College Invitational.

Mihaela Toader (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) was the runner-up in the 200-meter dash and placed third in the 400-meter dash on Saturday. Her time of 25.82 seconds in the 200 leads all PAC sprinters this season, while her time in the 100 ranks fourth in the conference.

In the throws, several Gators climbed the PAC leaderboards. Emma Miller (Elyria, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) was second in the shot put behind Sarah Corrie of Division II Slippery Rock with a personal record of 12.57 meters. Miller narrowly beat Lexi Shiderly of Westminster by three-hundredths of a meter, as the two now rank first and second, respectively, in the PAC in the shot put.

In the hammer throw, which was held on Friday afternoon, Lydia Giannini (Warren, Pa./Eisenhower) finished in sixth place at 33.71 meters. With her performance, the Gators now own the top three hammer throws in the PAC in 2023.

Hope Gómez (Laveen, Ariz./Valley Christian), Allegheny's javelin specialist, posted a season-best distance of 34.52 meters and placed sixth overall. Her performance moved her into fourth place in the PAC.
