ITA Rankings

MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Allegheny College sophomore Anton Hedlund (Hovas, Sweden/Katrinelundsgymnasiet) was named one of the top players in the Central Region in the latest edition of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NCAA Division III rankings, which were released on Monday, March 27.

As a singles player, Hedlund was ranked No. 24 in the Central Region. He's the only student-athlete from the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) listed in this week's regional rankings. Hedlund also appeared in last year's ITA regional rankings as a freshman, ending the season as the 23rd-best singles player in the Central Region.

Following Tuesday's shutout victory over Waynesburg University, the sophomore standout improved to 13-2 in singles competition during the 2022-23 season. As Allegheny's No. 1 player in dual competition, Hedlund is 11-1, with his only loss coming against No. 2 nationally-ranked Case Western Reserve University on February 19.
