PAC Release

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Bobby Kusinsky (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) was recognized by the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) for his efforts on Sunday afternoon against Franciscan University, as the Allegheny College senior was named the PAC Pitcher of the Week.

As the starter in the first game of a doubleheader against the Barons, Kusinsky set the tone for an outstanding day on the mound by the Gators. The right-handed hurler lasted a season-best 8.0 innings and allowed only one unearned run in a 3-1 victory. He scattered two hits and three walks while striking out a season-high eight batters. He faced the minimum in the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh innings, and didn't allow any Barons to reach scoring position until the eighth.

With the win, Kusinsky improved to 3-1 on the mound this spring, while lowering his ERA to a team-low 1.54.

The Allegheny baseball team will look to extend its three-game win streak on Tuesday, March 28, when the Gators host Westminster College for a PAC doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
