NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Allegheny College first-year student-athlete AB Snyder (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) was recognized for her performance at Case Western Reserve University's 10th Annual Spartan Holiday Classic with Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week honors.

Snyder had two top-five finishes on Saturday, which were both earned in jumping events.

The first-year standout placed third in the long jump with a distance of 5.06 meters and was fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 10.08 meters. Snyder also ran the 60-meter dash, where she was 12th in the preliminary round with a time of 8.50 seconds.

The Allegheny women's indoor track and field team is off for the rest of the semester. The Gators return to action at the College of Wooster's Fighting Scots Invitational on Saturday, January 20.
