MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Four student-athletes from the Allegheny College football team were rewarded for their efforts on the field and in the classroom by being named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
Senior long snapper
Tharit Monsereenusorn (Nonthaburi, Thailand/Mercersburg Academy) and junior offensive lineman
Carson Messemer (Schenectady, N.Y./Schalmont) were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for the second year in a row. They were joined this fall by fellow Gators
Travis Dear (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) and
Declan O'Brien (Irwin, Pa./Norwin)

To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, and have played in at least 90 percent or started in 66 percent of the team's games throughout the season.

Academic All-District winners advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, Second-, and Third-Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in late January.
