Indoor Track & Field Teams Announce 2023-24 Schedule

MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Allegheny College men's and women's indoor track and field teams, under the direction of head coach Ben Mourer '07, are ready to return to action, beginning with a trip to Cleveland, Ohio, this Saturday, December 2.

The Gators have eight indoor competitions on the docket for the 2023-24 campaign. Seven of the eight meets take place in the Buckeye State, and only one is scheduled before the holiday break.

The first of two road trips to Case Western Reserve University is this Saturday when the Gators visit Cleveland for the 10th Annual Spartan Holiday Classic. Allegheny is one of 10 teams competing in the season-opening meet at the Veale Center.

Following an extended hiatus over winter break, the Gators will return to Ohio for six consecutive weeks, beginning with the College of Wooster's Fighting Scots Invitational on Saturday, January 20. The month of January ends at Baldwin Wallace University's Dr. Taraschke Team Challenge on Saturday, January 27.

February features regular-season meets at Oberlin College on Friday, February 2, at the SPIRE Institute on Saturday, February 10, and at Case Western Reserve on Friday, February 16.

The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships will again be held at Youngstown State University's Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS) on Thursday, February 22. Allegheny, which won last year's indoor conference championship, will look to bring another trophy home to Meadville with a repeat performance.

New to the indoor track and field schedule in 2024 are the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Indoor Championships. The AARTFC comprises schools from across the northeast and serves as a last-chance meet before the NCAA Championships. Qualified student-athletes will compete at the AARTFC Indoor Championships on Friday, March 1, and Saturday, March 2, at Nazareth University in Rochester, New York.
