VIENNA, Ohio – The Allegheny women's golf team competed in the 2023 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Fall Championship Oct. 16-17 at the Avalon at Squaw Creek in Vienna, Ohio.
The Gators finished sixth in the nine-team field with a combined score of 818 after rounds of 416 and 402. Washington and Jefferson won the event with a score of 673.
The Fall Championship is part of the 2023-24 PAC Championships, with the final two rounds taking place in the spring.
Josephine Corey (Lakewood, N.Y./Southwestern Central) had the best finish for the Gators. After a first-round score of 96, Corey dropped seven strokes for an 89 in round two. Her two round score currently puts her in 12th-place.
Jenny Beth Brundige (South Fulton, Tenn./South Fulton) and
Elisa Gomez (La Mirada, Calif./St. Joseph) tied for 19th. Brundige had rounds of 101 and 96 while Gomez shot rounds of 100 and 97.
Sara Karns (Tarentum, Pa./Highlands) rounded out the Gator golfers, tying for 35th-place with rounds of 119 and 120.
