HOUGHTON, N.Y. – The Allegheny men's tennis team traveled north to face Houghton in a nonconference match Tuesday (April 5).
The Gators swept the Highlanders 9-0.
The second and third doubles teams of
Adam Shinomiya (Portland, Ore./International School of Beaverton) and
Fabrizzio Reategui (Boca Raton, Fla./Boca Raton International) and
David Salazar II (Newburgh, N.Y./Newburgh Free Academy) and
Wonjoon Cho (Wichita, Kan./Wichita Collegiate School) each won 8-3 while the first doubles pairing of
Anton Hedlund (Hovas, Sweden/Katrinelundsgymnasiet) and
Julien Voisey (Tokyo, Japan/ES International School) won 8-4.
Hedlund, Shinomiya, Cho, Reategui and Voisey all picked up their second wins of the day in singles action.
Will Jarvie (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) won his fifth singles match 6-2, 6-1.
The Gators are back in action Wednesday (April 6) when they open North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) play at home against Oberlin.
