GRANVILLE, Ohio -- The Allegheny swimming & diving teams opened competition at the 2022 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championships, hosted by Denison.

The event started Wednesday night (Feb. 9) with the 800 freestyle relay.

The men's team of
Daniel Jackson (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley),
Joe McNutt (Holly Springs, N.C./Holly Springs),
Jack Malnar (Brecksville, Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) and
Pierre Jaeggi (Fountain Valley, Calif./Valiant Prep) placed sixth with a time of 7:08.12. The finish earned the Gators 54 points.

The championships continue Thursday (Feb. 10) with morning prelims and evening finals.
