OBERLIN, Ohio– The Allegheny track and field teams were on the road Friday (Feb. 4) as they competed at the Oberlin Dan Kinsey Invitational.
 
The meet featured host Oberlin, Baldwin Wallace and Westminster in addition to the Gators.
 
On the men's side, Tylir Shannon (Transfer, Pa./Reynolds) had a trio of first place finishes. Individually, he won the 60 and 200 meter dashes with times of 7.03 and 22.90 seconds.  He also helped the Gator 4x200 team with Nick Murawski (Grove City, Pa./Grove City), Holden Ford (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) and Anthony Steinpreis (Tempe, Ariz./Marcos De Niza) win with a time of 1:33.74. Also for the men, Kevin Long (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) won the mile with a time of 4:49.44.
 
The women carded a pair of runner-up finishes. Eva Martino (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) was second in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.23 while Melina Mangino (New Castle, Pa./Shenango) was second in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 10.19.
 
The Gators are back on the road next Friday (Feb. 11) when they compete at Baldwin Wallace.
