EDINBORO, Pa. – The Allegheny women's swimming and diving team continued their season on the road at Division II Edinboro Saturday (Nov. 5).
The Gators fell to the Fighting Scots 99-75.
Ariana Clark (Freeport, Pa./Freeport),
Jenna Halenda (Mars, Pa./Mars) and
Josephine Reiter (Pittsburgh, Pa./CAPA) had the individual wins for the Gators on the day.
Clark captured the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:04.36 while also placing second in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:25.16.
Halenda won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:51.84 while also taking second in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:06.05.
Reiter, the reigning Presidents' Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:11.19.
Skyler Masse (Akron, N.Y./Akron) took second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:11.94 while
Emma Afton (Brookville, Pa./Brookville Area) finished second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:34.56.
The 200 freestyle relay team of
Maggie Baham (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen), Halenda,
Katya Pryshchenko (Berwyn, Pa./Aim Academy) and
Olivia Kraus (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) was victorious as well, finishing with a time of 1:43.47.
The 200 medley relay team of Clark, Reiter, Baham and Kraus took second with a time of 1:53.61.
The Gators return to action Nov. 17-19 when they compete at the Oberlin Midseason Invitational.
