PAC Release
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Allegheny College men's swimming and diving team was predicted to finish third according to the 2022-23 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the league office last week.
The Gators, who placed seventh at last year's North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championships, were picked behind the four-time defending conference champion, Grove City College, and second-place Westminster College. Grove City paced the PAC with 66 points and six first-place votes, followed by Westminster (59) and Allegheny (57).
In addition, five Gators were highlighted on the 2022-23 Men's Swimmers and Divers to Watch List. That included seniors
Pierre Jaeggi (Fountain Valley, Calif./Valiant Prep) and
Dalton Lodzins (Anchorage, Alaska/Chugiak), junior
Emmett Manning (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel), and second-year swimmers
Daniel Jackson (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley) and
Jack Malnar (Brecksville, Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview Heights).
Allegheny begins the 2022-23 season with a home match against Washington and Jefferson College on Friday, October 21, at 6:00 p.m.
