PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The Allegheny cross country teams opened up the 2021 with a pair of dominating performances at the Chatham Cougar Challenge in Pittsburgh.
The Gator men scored a perfect 15 while sweeping the top seven positions, and the women claimed six of the top seven spots as both genders competed on a 5k course.
Tim Weighart (Brookline, Mass./Brookline) took home a four-second victory (16:57) on the men's side, and
Emma Wall (Douglas, Mass./Douglas) scored the win on the women's side with 13 seconds to spare at 19:52.
Allegheny will return to the course when it hosts the annual Allegheny Classic at the Robertson Athletic Complex on Saturday, Sept. 18. The women will run at 10 a.m., while the men will hit the course at 10:45 a.m.
