MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Allegheny swimming and diving head coach Max Niggel has announced the hiring of Molly McCulloch as the program's newest assistant coach.

Prior to arriving in Meadville, McCulloch spent the 2020-21 season as the assistant coach at NCAA Division I Saint Francis (Pa.).

Before her time in Loretto, McCulloch spent the previous two seasons at fellow Division III member SUNY Cortland as the assistant coach of both the men's and women's teams. In 2020, both teams finished second in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships, while breaking three total school records. Also that year, the women's team scored the most points at the conference meet in program history and the coaching staff was tabbed as the SUNYAC Women's Swimming Staff of the Year. In 2019, McCulloch helped lead the Cortland women's team to a record breaking season where they broke seven school records and also placed second at the SUNYAC Championships.

A four-year member of the swimming and diving program, McCulloch earned a bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from SUNY New Paltz in 2018. She then earned a Master of Science degree in Recreation Management from SUNY Cortland in 2020.
