WOOSTER, Ohio -- The Allegheny men's golf team split a pair of matches over the weekend with Wooster.Â
In day one,
Matthew Del Rosso (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic) led all golfers with a round-low 71.
Ryan Dayton (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) and
Shane Kelley (Glenshaw, Pa./Central Catholic) tied for second place with a final score of 76.Â
Tanner Sliker (Edinboro, Pa./Cathedral Prep) and
Alex Lawson (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) rounded Allegheny's day one performance with an 81 and 88 final scores, respectively.Â
The Gators took the first match by a final score of 304-325.Â
During the second day, it was Kelley who turned in a low round of 74.Â
Del Rosso finished in fourth place carding a day two score of 77 while Dayton finished in a three-way tie for fifth place with 79.
Sliker recorded an 85 on day two and Lawson finished up with a 98.Â
Allegheny dropped the second match 308-315.Â
The Gators will open their home-and-home weekend series with Hiram on Saturday at Denison Golf Club.
