CLEVELAND, Ohio -- For the second time already this season, Allegheny senior guard Brian Roberts, Jr. (Copley, Ohio/Copley) has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week. 

Roberts, Jr. led Allegheny to a 2-0 week to open up NCAC play, the program's first 2-0 NCAC start since 2015-16.  Playing just 27 minutes in a 103-68 win over Hiram, the senior netted 20 points, plus six rebounds, six assists and two steals, before following that up with a career-high 43 points in Saturday's 84-80 win over Kenyon. Roberts, Jr.'s 43 points mark the second most in school history and his second career game over 30 points. He also added seven rebounds and three assists in the win. 

For the week, the senior averaged 31.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and made 19-of-21 free-throw attempts.

The Gators will hit the road for their first NCAC game of the season when they travel to Wooster for a 7:30 p.m. tip on Wednesday, Dec. 8. Allegheny won the last meeting between the two teams in Timken Gymnasium, an 89-84 victory over the then-17th ranked Scots on Jan. 29, 2020.
