SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- The Allegheny women's cross country team won its 16th North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) championship and the men's team took second at the league's annual title event.

The women's team scored 33 points, ahead of DePauw's 71 points. For the men, Allegheny placed second with 71 points behind DePauw's 32 points.

Megan Aaron (Cranberry Twp., Pa./Seneca Valley) earned the individual crown in the women's race with a time of 22:43.7 over teammate Emma Wall (Douglas, Mass./Douglas), who finished second in 23:25.4. Aaron earned the NCAC Runner of the Year award and Wall claimed NCAC Newcomer of the Year honors. Head coach

On the men's side, the Gators came in second behind DePauw.
Sean Heintzleman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Winchester Thurston) was the top finisher for Allegheny, coming in sixth at 26:44.0.
Logan Meyer (Mount Vernon, Ohio/Mount Vernon) was right there in seventh at 26:44.3.

Allegheny will compete in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional in Shelbyville, Ind. on Saturday, Nov. 13.
