TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Allegheny women's tennis team was recognized as an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), with several Gators being honored with the distinction of Scholar-Athlete.
Between both men's and women's Division III tennis, over 2,000 student-athletes were awarded the distinction of Scholar-Athlete and a total of 300 programs received the All-Academic Team honor.
The women's team earned the ITA team honors by each holding a team cumulative grade point average over 3.20 upon the completion of the 2019-20 academic year.
To be named an ITA Scholar Athlete, a player must be a varsity letterwinner, hold a grade point average of at least 3.50 upon the completion of the most recent academic term.

Both tennis programs went undefeated during the 2019-20 season, the women's tennis team finished 5-0 while the men tallied a 4-0 record.Â
