GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Allegheny men's swimming and diving team kicked-off the 2020 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championships Wednesday night (Feb. 12) at Denison.
The 800 free relay was the only race of the night. The Gator squad of Jack Van Meter (Altoona, Iowa/Southeast Polk), Pierre Jaeggi (Fountain Valley, Calif./Valiant Prep), Logan Indest (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne) and Karl Stuntzner-Gibson (North Bend, Ore./North Bend) finished sixth with a time of 7:11.28, earning the team 54 points.
Hunter Pietrzycki (Parma, Ohio/Parma) represented the Gators in the three-meter dive. After finishing the preliminary round in fifth, Pietrzycki finished with a tally of 275.55, maintaining his fifth-place finish. That finish netted 28 points for the team.
At the end of day one, the Gators sit in fourth with 82 points.
The Gators are back in action Thursday (Feb. 13) for their first full day of competition.
