GRANVILLE, Ohio—The Allegheny College swimming and diving teams kicked off the 2019 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championships Wednesday (Feb. 16) at host Denison University.
The Gators competed in the 800-yard freestyle relay and the women's three meter dive on night one.
In the pool, the Gator women finished fourth in the 800-yard free relay.
Miranda Farley,
Emily Schaefer,
Alyson Codner and
McClaren Rodriguez put together a time of 7:49.09 to earn the Gators 60 team points.
In the men's race,
Dalton Lodzins,
Jack Van Meter,
Logan Indest and
Karl Stuntzner-Gibson placed seventh with a time of 7:14.56. The finished earned the Gators 52 points.
Brionna Litwin and
Chelsea Pietrzycki concluded the night for the Gators in the three meter dive. Litwin finished the event in fifth with a score of 339.10 while Pietrzycki finished sixth with a score of 327.80. Their combined finishes earned the Gators 55 points.
The Gators return to the pools tomorrow for day two of the competition.
