GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Allegheny men's cross country team continued their 2019 campaign at the 31
st Annual Gettysburg Invitational Saturday (Oct. 19).
The Gators had one of their top finishes of the season as they finished second overall out of the 28 teams competing. Division-I Saint Francis won the event with a score of 57, while the Gators tallied a score of 77.
Freshman
Owen Isham (State College, Pa./State College Area) led the way for the Gators as he finished the 8k course in 26:29.0 to finish eighth. He was one of four Gators to finish inside of the top-16.
Adam Cook (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) was only 2.8 seconds behind Isham as he placed 10
th with a time of 26:31.8.
Tim Weighart (Brookline, Mass./Brookline) was on the heels of Cook as he finished just .3 seconds behind him in 11
th-place.
Seth Conard (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Woodridge) also cracked the top-16 as his time of 26:48.8 placed him in 16
th.
Alex Spiro (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) rounded out the top-five for the Gators as he finished in 32
nd with a time of 27:45.4.
The split between the Allegheny one and Allegheny five runner was 1:16.4
Luke Kellett (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) finished 35
th with a time of 27:52.5 and
Kevin Long (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) finished 56
th with a time of 28:15.2 for the sixth and seventh Gator runners.
The individual title went to Jason Richwall of Muhlenberg who finished with a time of 25:48.7.
The Gators are off until Nov. 2 when they compete at the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championships in Indiana.
