Box Score GROVE CITY, Pa. – Despite holding a one set-advantage, the Gators were unable to fend off a determined rally by the Grove City College Wolverines and saw their five-game winning streak snapped, 3-1, on Tuesday evening at College Arena.

Leah Franzluebbers recorded a team-high three solo stops, as senior
Catherine Kasianowicz led the squad with 31 digs. Freshman
Justine Kelly picked up 40 assists while fellow first year
Terra Schall added 17 digs.
After picking up a 25-15 win in the first set, the Gators played three immensely close sets against the Wolverines. However, Grove City emerged victorious in each of the next three sets, 25-22, 25-21 and 25-20, to take the match. Tuesday's setback is the first loss for the Gators since Sept. 6, a 3-0 loss to Muhlenberg at the Buttermaker Invitational.
Allegheny will next kick off North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) play against Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday, Sept. 20 in Delaware, Ohio.
