GAMBIER, Ohio – The Allegheny men's tennis squad opened the NCAC Championships as the number six seed against the No. 29 team in the country, the number three seed Denison Big Red. The Big Red flexed their muscle as one of the top teams in the region, defeating Allegheny 5-0.
With the number seven singles and number six doubles pairing in the central region, Denison advanced to the second round while Allegheny will play the Yeomen of Oberlin in the consolation round. The match is scheduled for a 9:00 am start on Sunday morning, and the winner will play in the fifth place match against the winner of Ohio Wesleyan and Wabash.
