GAMBIER, Ohio - The Allegheny women's volleyball squad traveled to the campus of Kenyon College for the season's first NCAC power weekend.

Day one saw the Gators go up against the NCAC's newest member DePauw in their first match, and the Big Red of Denison in the night cap.

After winning four of their last five contests, the Gators looked to carry those good vibes into the opening weekend of conference play.

However, the Tigers would not cooperate, sweeping Allegheny 0-3 (21-25, 25-27, 16-25). The Gators looked to bounce back against Denison, but played to the same result, a 0-3 (18-25, 19-25, 12-25) loss to the Big Red. 

The Gators will look to rebound, as they head into day two of the NCAC power weekend Sunday, battling number 3 Wittenberg at 4:00 pm, and host Kenyon College at 6:00 pm.
