Gators Endure Tough Day One

MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Gators were unable to sustain an offensive attack on Friday and dropped a pair of matches in the Dickinson College Tournament.
Bridgewater took the first match in three sets (18-25, 12-25, 14-25). Freshman setters Madie Hudac and Emily Rooney combined for 19 assists. Senior defensive specialist Winnie Wong recorded 21 digs in the opening contest.
The second match was equally unkind to the Gators as St. Vincent swept the match in three sets (21-25, 15-25, 17-25). Rooney tallied 15 assists in the match, giving her 24 for the day. Freshman defensive specialist Claire DeLucia led the defensive side of the court with 16 digs. Senior Jordan Leopold and freshman Tito Aderemi-Ibitola each put away five kills.
