HIRAM, Ohio -- Chris Brennan and Pete Subasic scored goals to lead the Allegheny men's soccer team over La Roche, 2-1, on day two of the Hiram Classic. Brennan's goal was his first as a collegian.

Brennan scored the opening goal in the 58th minute with an assist from Brian Terpin. Subasic tallied in the 66th and was assisted by James Fulton.

La Roche trimmed the Gator lead to 2-1 in the 81st minute. John Atem connected for the score with an assist from John James.

Andrew Shirley was winning goalkeeper for Allegheny, making seven saves. La Roche keeper Michael Brunozzi stopped five shots.

The Gators (3-0) will be in action next on Sept. 12 when they visit Heidelberg for a 7 p.m. start.
