BETHLEHEM, Pa. --
Chris Marker won the individual championship and
Jeramie Parker was the runner-up, leading the Allegheny men's cross country team to the Mideast Regional Championship in the Muhlenberg-hosted event at Lehigh University on Saturday.
Marker finished the 8-kilometer race in 24:54.3 while Parker crossed the line in 25:00.3. Other scorers included
Zac Ross, who was 15th in 25:31.2;
Tony Dipre, who took 16th in 25:34.9; and
Jake Zimmerman, who was 25th in 25:56.2.
Ryan Sullivan and Patrick McLaughlin were the Gators' sixth and seventh runners, respectively. Sullivan was 31st in 26:04.7 and McLaughlin placed 43rd in 26:22.7.
Carnegie Mellon finished second to the Gators with 69 points. Haverford (83), Dickinson (90) and Elizabethtown (175) rounded out the top five.
Allegheny will compete next at the NCAA Division III Championship, which will be hosted by Baldwin-Wallace next Saturday.
