TRAFFORD, Pa. – Caleb Occhino (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park) of the Allegheny men's golf team was named as the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week.
 
Occhino and the Gators competed at the Toftrees Invitational, hosted by Penn State Altoona. He tied for 25th overall after shooting rounds of 71 and 78 for a 149 overall. Occhino's round of 71 featured six birdies, and he was the only Gator with a birdie on the back nine during the round.
 
The Gators are back in action Sept. 20-21 when they host the annual Guy and Jeane Kohn Invitational at the Meadville Country Club.
