Gator Give Day Website

MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The 12th Annual Gator Give Day is less than two weeks away.

Allegheny College will celebrate its traditional day of giving on Thursday, April 16. Gator Give Day provides an opportunity for alumni, friends, and family to come together to pave the way for future students to explore paths, discover callings, and write their own stories.

This year's theme: Jump In For Allegheny. Whether it's a slam dunk, diving catch, or earning All-America honors in the long jump, Allegheny's student-athletes know how to jump. With your support, there's no telling how far we can jump together.

Last spring, the Department of Athletics raised more than $237,000 during Gator Give Day. Nearly 550 alumni donations were designated for athletics, equaling one-fifth of all alumni donations collected. Over the past 11 years, supporters have raised more than $1.6 million for athletics, which has been used to fund various team and department needs such as travel expenses, new uniforms, equipment upgrades, and facility enhancements.

Returning for 2026 are the Baird Challenges, sponsored by Class of 1984 alumni Kevin and Lisa Baird. The Bairds have generously pledged $25,000 – an increase of $5,000 from last year – to continue this tradition of philanthropic competition between Allegheny's varsity sports teams. However, the prizes have been restructured to provide more teams with an opportunity to receive additional funding:

• Record Breaker Challenge: Five prizes will be awarded to the teams that come closest to or surpass their previous record for total number of alumni donors. The winning team will receive a $5,000 prize, while the next four closest competitors will earn $4,000 each.
• Friends and Family Challenge: A $2,000 prize will be awarded to the team with the largest number of friends and family donors. This includes employees, community members, parents, and extended family.
• Student Donation Challenge: A $2,000 prize will be awarded to the team with the largest number of donations from currently enrolled students.

Individuals interested in sponsoring a match or challenge for a specific team or making a pledge are encouraged to contact Trey Williams '24, Assistant Director of Annual Giving, at twilliams2@allegheny.edu before April 16. Pledges should be made payable by June 30.

Gifts can also be sent by mail. Checks must be made payable to Allegheny College with "Gator Give Day" and the name of the team you are supporting in the memo line and sent to:
