LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Allegheny College senior attackman
JP Rakis (Kensington, Md./Walter Johnson) was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Team of the Week for the third time in his career.
Rakis, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Offensive Player of the Week, was recognized by the USILA for his exceptional performances last week against the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and Lycoming College. The fourth-year standout amassed 22 points with seven goals and a team-high 15 assists, leading the Gators to a 13-3 victory over the Panthers and a 20-4 rout of the Warriors.
Already the program's all-time leader in points, Rakis set another milestone last week as the first Gator to reach 200 career points and 100 assists. He also joined former teammate
Jack Cushwa '25 as the second player to score 100 career goals.
Allegheny will hit the road for its next game on Sunday, March 8, at noon against Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.
