STATE COLLEGE, Pa. --
Christopher Hoffman (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) earned medalist honors at the 2026 Pennsylvania Classic to lead the Allegheny College men's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the Penn State Blue Course on Saturday and Sunday.

Hoffman, a two-time Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week during the fall half of the season, made a fantastic spring debut with a 3-under 141. He birdied five holes en route to a 1-under 71 on Saturday, then added four more and a 2-under 70 during Sunday's final round. On both days, Hoffman carded birdies on the par-4 first, the par-4 13th, and the par-5 18th holes. He ended with a three-stroke lead over the tournament runner-up, Cole Cooper of Wilson College.

Dylan Kochis (Saint Augustine, Fla./B. Reed Henderson (Pa.)) also earned a top-25 finish with a two-way tie for 22nd place. Kochis and Nick Helsley of Penn State Altoona both recorded a 10-over 154. In the opening round, the Allegheny senior birdied three holes on the front nine, and on Sunday, he added two birdies on the back nine.

Following Saturday's round, the Gators found themselves atop the standings in a competitive 22-team field featuring only Pennsylvania-based programs. Although Allegheny shaved three strokes off of its team score with a 305 on Sunday, the Gators were passed by three teams, including PAC rival Washington and Jefferson College. The Presidents earned the tournament title with a cumulative 601 (+25), followed by Penn State Altoona (608, +32), and Mount Aloysius College (612, +36).
