MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny men's lacrosse and golf teams combined to earn six spots on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Team.
Konrad Homiak (Hampstead, N.C./Topsail),
JP Rakis (Kensington, Md./Walter Johnson),
Titus Smith (Newark, Ohio/Licking Valley) and
Jared Swisher (Cumberland, Maine/Berwick Academy) from the men's lacrosse team and
Connor Bell (Montrose, Colo./Montrose) and
Carter Hassenplug (North East, Pa./North East) from the men's golf team earned the honors.
For Hassenplug, this marks his third time being named to the team. For Rakis and Homiak, this marks their second time.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District Men's At-Large Teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and the classroom. The men's at-large category includes student-athletes from fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, volleyball, water polo, and wrestling.
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher. Lacrosse athletes must have played in at least 90% or started in 66% of the team's competitions throughout the season. Golf nominees must have competed in 70% of the team's scored varsity events.
Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Men's At-Large Academic All-America First-, Second-, and Third-Team honorees will be announced in July.
