TRAFFORD, Pa. – JP Rakis (Kensington, Md./Walter Johnson) of the Allegheny men's lacrosse team was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Offensive Player of the Week after a record-breaking performance last week.
In a 2-0 week for the Gators, Rakis tallied 15 points on 10 goals and five assists while also registering nine grondballs and three caused turnovers.
In his first game of the week, Rakis had a hat trick and an assist to help the Gators defeat Alfred. Then in the second game, Rakis had a record-breaking performance. The junior had 11 points on seven goals and four assists to go alongside seven groundballs and three caused turnovers. The 11 points broke his own single game program record. The seven goals tied for the most in a single game.
The Gators remain at home Saturday (March 15) against Brockport.
