ECAC Release
DANBURY, Conn. -- Allegheny College's
Cassady Bouthet (Vernon, Conn./Rockville) received another postseason award on Thursday to add to his growing list of accolades.
Bouthet, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Defensive Player of the Year and a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-America Honorable Mention, was named to the 2024 Division III Men's Lacrosse All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Team.
The most decorated player in the five-year history of Allegheny's varsity men's lacrosse program, Bouthet's success leading the Gator defense has been well-documented this spring. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound defender was a menace to opposing offenses and set a new single-season team record with 53 caused turnovers. Bouthet also gathered 96 ground balls, the second-most by a Gator in team history.
Among national leaders, the fourth-year close defenseman was 12th with 3.12 caused turnovers per game. His performance helped the Gators finish the 2024 season ranked ninth in ground balls per game, 16th in caused turnovers per game, and 14th in opponent clear percentage.Â
