NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- For the second time in as many weeks, Allegheny College took home the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week Award, as
Gideon Sullivan (Getzville, N.Y./Cathedral (Ind.)) was crowned the winner for the week ending March 5.
In a pair of games against the University of Mount Union and Lycoming College, Sullivan scored a team-high seven goals and added one assist for a team-high-tying eight points. Two of his goals were scored on an extra-man opportunity, and he also picked up eight ground balls.
In a 13-10 comeback win over the Purple Raiders, Sullivan scored the first three goals of his collegiate career for his first hat trick. In a 12-8 loss to the Warriors in Allegheny's 2023 home opener, he produced season highs for points (5), goals (4), and ground balls (5).
Sullivan and the rest of the Gators will travel to Winchester, Virginia, for a non-conference contest against Shenandoah University on Wednesday, March 8, at 4:00 p.m.
