ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Allegheny College women's track and field team had another strong showing at the University of Mount Union's Jim Wuske Invitational on Saturday inside the Peterson Field House.

Nine Gators combined for 13 personal records, while Allegheny posted 11 top-10 finishes.

The reigning Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Track Athlete of the Week, Mihaela Toader (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon), added another win to her already impressive 2022-23 campaign. The senior sprinter was first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.16. Toader and Julieta Schworm (Newark, Ohio/Licking Valley), who was ninth overall at 1:04.82, were the only Division III student-athletes in the top 12 in the 400.

Toader's best time was in the preliminary heat of the 60-meter dash. Her prelim time of 8.068 was the fifth-best of the entire meet and a new PR, but she lost her heat by five thousandths of a second and was credited with a 10th-place finish. 

Madeline Allen (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne) (11:51.83) narrowly beat Point Park University's Natalia Zucco (11:51.90) to the finish line for sixth place in the 3,000-meter distance run. All-Region cross country honoree, Leuca Hanish (Baden, Pa./Ambridge), made her first indoor appearance as a Gator in the one-mile run and placed ninth out of 37 with a time of 5:38.95.

In the throws, only Division I Slippery Rock University placed more inside the top 7 in the shot put. Emma Miller (Elyria, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) was fourth overall, and the top Division III thrower in the shot put with a distance of 12.13 meters. Laila Davis (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton) was seventh at 11.26 meters.
