WOOSTER, Ohio – Colm Mulligan (Chestnut Hills, Mass./Brookline) of the Allegheny men's cross country team won the Wooster Twilight 5k Friday evening (Nov. 3).
The Gators competed against host Wooster as well as Oberlin in a field of 29 runners.
Mulligan won the event, crossing the finish line at 15:25.80. His time was just 1.13 seconds ahead of the runner-up finisher.
Xavier Grove (Pittsburgh, Pa./CAPA) had the second best finish for the Gators, placing sixth with a time of 16:21.30.
Cole Jooste (Upper Saint Clair, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) was just behind Grove in seventh with a time of 16:32.41.
Joe McAuliffe (Massillon, Ohio/Jackson) was 11th with a time of 16:51.08 while
William Nichols (Cullman, Ala./Cullman) was 12th with a time of 16:54.72.
Tony Kerr (Corry, Pa./Corry Area) took 14th with a time of 16:59.78.
Mac Polny (Robinson, Pa./Montour) rounded out the Gators in 16th with a time of 17:10.07.
